Frequently Asked Questions you need to know !

– Do you travel outside Singapore or Malaysia for weddings?
Yes of course we will travel to virtually any part of the earth you need us to. Additional costs for travel, accommodation and car hire may needed.

– What cameras do you use?
We use professional Canon DSLR cameras with several top of the range professional lenses, and a host of lighting gear and modifiers.

– What is your style of photography?
We love emotion and moment on the wedding day, so you may expected more candids and relaxing shoot through out the day and for the Pre-Wedding Photography we’re more on elegant,high fashion and cinematic portrait (for conceptual personal element in your pre-wedding images)

– How soon do we need to reserve our date?
As soon as possible after your wedding date / venue confirmed . We’ve had quite a number of brides book us almost a year in advance.

– Can we meet up discussion before reserve our  event date ?
Of course, it is always my pleasure to meet up with you and as we would love to share more of our recent works and answer any further queries you may have.

– How will we reserve our wedding date?
Once we receive your signed contract and confirmation deposit, your date is then fully reserved, and we will not accept any other clients for that date. (confirmation deposit is non-refundable /additional charges may apply for date change)

– What is the payment term ?
30 % of confirmation deposit and remaining balance after end of the event.

– What happens after the booking?
You will receive an official confirmation receipt of your booking. We’ll then start pre wedding consultations and discussion leading up to the day meet up. This is also an opportunity for us to get to know a bit more about you.

– We live out of town, how will this affect our consultations?
While we would love to meet up before the day, busy schedules and distance may prevent that. However all decisions can he handled remotely. Then again we could meet with your trusted friends or relatives if necessary.

– Do you provide video or make-up & hair styling services as well?
Yes , we do have our trusted artists to provide cinematic wedding filming and professional make-up & hair styling .

– Do you charge extra for travel and hotel accommodation?
Yes. If the location is over an hours drive from Singapore or Johor Bahru, and photography is expected to start quite early.

– Do you offer any discounts for weddings?
When the pressure is light, we normally have bundle package, weekday and off-season promotions and rebates. Contact us for details about that.

– What time will you be arriving on the day?
We normally get to the bridal prep venue about 30 minute after the makeup session started. We’ll try to capture the general atmosphere, photograph the dress and accessories, the end part of the make up session, and then the bridal portrait session. If for some reason, you need us to be there earlier, we’ll need to know this before the day.

– Is it important to have a second shooter on the day?
While a single photographer can capture your day, we strongly advise having a second shooter to ensure no incredible moments are missed. While one focuses on the couple’s speech for example, the other can focus on reactions from family or guests, thus creating a more compelling story of your day. Further while I’m primarily a photojournalist, and will quietly be candidly capturing moments and people, the second photographer will be doing a bit more of regular and formal photography, and this means you’ll end up with an amazing collection of different images to choose from.

– How long will you stay with us on our wedding day?
This will depend on the wedding package booked, or on a pre-agreed upon time schedule. Normally we’re the first to reach and last to leave on your big day.

– How long will it take to get our images and how many images will we receive ?
Your images will be ready within 4-6 weeks of your wedding and it may be vary depend on wedding season. We will initially upload highlight images to web gallery for you to view, and share with friends and family. If you’d like certain friends and family to be able to digital downloads, we can also enable that. However number(quantity vs quality) images will be deliver may depended your event, normally a wedding day is about 500+/-pcs.

– Will the images be edited before presentation?
All images are individually assessed for colour and tone, and edited appropriately. For prints or albums are ordered, a little more post enhancement will go into the selected images.

– Will we get the negatives?
Yes you will get the edited high-resolution digital files. Its normally in jpeg files with customs made DVD jewel box.

– How many photographs make a great storybook ?
We normally choose between 80 and 100 pictures for the standard 40-page photobook. However, if you need more than 100 images, it may be advisable to increase the album page count, or to make a second album.

– How long will our album take to arrive?
Albums normally take about 3-4 weeks from confirm images selection, layout then placing your order till delivery at our end.

– How will we get our album?
You can pick it up or we can courier it to you ‘at cost’.

– Do you photograph anything else in addition to weddings?
Yes! I am available for portrait sessions in addition to weddings, and that includes underwater portrait, maternity, children, family, parties, conceptual cinematic portrait or events!


Finally … why is wedding photography so expensive?

… er … no its not. A lot of people tend to see wedding photography as just the 10 odd hours the photographer shoots on the day. But by our calculations, we spend over 40+ hours on each wedding. Right from the first contact, the subsequent meetings, emails and phone calls, the hours start piling up, editing its images (same day edit / after event) itself throws out over a thousand images which could take anywhere between 12-16 hours to edit, images need to be backed up, uploaded, albums designed, modified, all the while continuing communications with you, the printers and the binders.

Weeks after your wedding, while other vendors have long since moved on to other projects, we’ll be the only ones still working on your wedding.
